i have a 04 extcab silverado and i took out the center console and put in a custom fiberglass box with 2 12 inch alpine type R's the brand new style running 2400 watts. My problem is the roof. All you can hear outside the truck is the roof. i can put a soda can on the roof and it will bounce off. what do i do to dampin the sound of the roof?

You could try pulling the headliner and using Dynamat. That might dampen a bit. Or you can run rubber strips running from drivers side to passanger side. Just a thought...

Dynamat it man. It works the best. I have so much dynamat in my truck its frickin bullet proof. You cant hear a thing outside of the truck. We put 3 layers but I dont think you will need that much. Look at my profile and you can kinda see.

I kinda have the same problem, but its 1 12" type X and i'm running 2000 watts and its in a saturn ion... would dynomating the trunk fix the problem? more or less
