Question for you SBC Swap folks?

So I know a few people on here are runnin SBC's in their Dawgs, but are any of you running a 5 speed, or is everyone taking the easy AutoTrans way out?

If you are running a 5spd, what trans are you using?

BUILT 4L80-E because it's one baddasss tranny, yeah i took the easy way out haveing to cut a bigger opening in the firewall and re-do the tranny tunnel to fit that mother in there.

seems like a standard would actually be easier since most dawgs already have a clutch pedal.

by the way, I guess I was lazy and took the easy way out on mine. I have a turbo 350

i have a 5 speed. T5 from an '87 firebird. when it breaks i will probably go to a T56.

i had to upgrade the clutch cylinder to 1" bore to get enough fluid to move in the short stroke of the mazda clutch pedal. other than that it's pretty straight forward.

oh, a 1" bore clutch cylinder is very stiff by the way. there's probably a better method to do it, but i was going for easy, cheap, and fast (bolts to stock location, no extra cutting or welding)
