i ran both a line from edc and notrogen to a "t" with ball valves on the tank then switch as needed. grainger here in austin has some nice 300psi mini ball valves cheap

you can run both lines from your compressor and your nitrogen into a regular air tank as long as you have a check valve between your tank and your compressor to keep back pressure from blowing it up, just make sure your check valve is rated high enough to hold whatever pressure you run the nitrogen at

i also run both air and nitro, i use a ball valve to but my viair already has a check valve. but as long as your ball valve is closed your ok without one.

if you run a ball valve and you are driving and run out of nitrogen you have to pull over open the valve then your compressor will kick on from the pressure switch but if you run a check valve then when you run out of nitrogen your compressor will just kick back on like regular every day use. and engine driven compressors mioght not come with a check valve on them, so why hassle with a ball valve if you dont have to worry about it

i am about to do the same. can you run your nitrogen to your air tank without a ball valve just fell your air tank with nitrogen???
KRamseyKustomz   +1y
i mean fell the tank with nitrogen then shut of the nitrogen at the bottle ! any one have any picts?

yeah you can just fill your tank with your nitrogen bottle without a ball valve the ball valve is used in line from your compressor to the tank and its purpose is to keep the pressure from blowing up your compressor, you should still run a nitrogen regulator if thats what you were talking about

If I were too do this, would I have to keep my nitrogen regulator under 200 psi since the airtank is rated at only 200 psi?
