This is not right...The upper bars and lower bars should be the same length, always at the same angle, and pivot from the same point.

Ryan, I see exactly what you are saying about the bar lengths on that one. It looks to me like that is one of ART's 4link kits and for some reason they all have shorter upper bars. I know of quite a few that have been installed and they seem to work fine.

Anyways, Chris if ya want you could check out muh Mazda profile. it isn't perfect or wasn't completely finished welded in them but it had less than one degree of pinion movement.

chris what did you do with that anti-lock bs in the back of the truck??

Never quite got that far back into it. We had switched over to a Toyota rearend and had the disc brake kit to go on it.

for adjustable suspension, yes.

But a lot of 4 links are bought from other kits, like TCI's 34 Ford rear setup for coil overs. When you talk about less than 5 inches of travel (thats 2.5 inches either direction) the arc of operation wont change the pinion angle. The shorter upper bars are to keep the passenger compartment from being infiltrated with bars.

But yes, for our trucks the closer to equal length the better. My uppers are actually 3 inches longer than my lowers because I aam ising a mechanical advantage setup for about 12-13 inches of rear lift and my pinion does not change.
