bag on 4link with heim joints HELP!

OK my bags are mounted on my bars and they have heim joints which when i air up the bars swist a little from the heim joints and it makes the bags sit wrong and causes the bottom bracket to stick into the bag... my question is.. Can bag be mounted on bars with heim joints? If so what could i do to fix this problem?

weld both the lowers together but they really shouldn't be mounted on a heim joint 4link bar. you run the risk of snapping the heim.

no offense intended, but whats the point of having a 4 link if the lower bars are welded together?

You cant use bags on bars with heims. They will have the problem you describe, twisting.

I would suggest running a bushing on one end that is welded directly to the bar and run the heim in on the other side, and only have one side adjustable.

also make sure that you bag is centered on the bars.

get rid of all the heims and run urethane bushings, cant put the bags on a heim 4-link.

i have my bags on my 4 link with heims and no problems for a little over a year

bags on bars with heims is a no go..and u gotta get as close to center on the bar with the bag as possible, b/c that will make it twist even with bushings..so there u go
