I have a couple questions about the v-8 swap in an s-10. Im body dropping my truck to the rockers and for one need a definate answer on whether the v8 will fit with a 2 1/4 cowl hood, second. what motor mounts have you guys used. Stealth conversion kit has the brackets but didnt know if they were to thick and would cause hood clearance problems. i need help with this, any help would be appreciated.

I'm running JTR/Stealth conversion mounts with my bd'd blazer. It would work out with a cowl hood no problem. Also, if you're looking for headers that clear, the advance adapters slick fits clear the steering column with no modifications..

I've got the Advance Adapter motor mounts and have no problem fitting the motor under a 2 1/4" cowl hood. The trick is finding an air cleaner that will allow you to do so....which in my case will be the Holley one like Lackey's got on his Blazer.
