Anyone with a 94-97 s-sreies know how to.......

Anyone know how to get the plastic peices around the steering column off of a 94-97 blazer? I have taken the star-head bolts out of the bottom, but cant get it off, its stuck on the tilt lever, is there a trick i dont know? I NEED to get this off so i can have it smoothed and painted and i aint payin someone to get it off!!!!!!Ant help would be greatly aprreciated.

If I remember correctly The boot for the lever just slides into the top and bottom of the covers. Its been a while since I have done one.

I have a 95 as I remember you just pull the tilt lever out.

i jus pulled the steering wheel all the way down and it popped right out..u have to hold it down tho..u can hold it farther than it will lock..

mine doest have a tilt wheel and i ended up breaking my hazard light switch but w/o tilt i think u need to drop the column..

hey Dave, you broke your hazard light swithch, well, so did i, now i have a peice of wire jamming the peice down to keep the flashers off. did you have to order the entire thing from GM? Help!!!!!!!!
