ok guys i finally have my rims, however there is one small issue that i have thought of several alternatives. my first problem is they are 6x135 not 6x5.5 however precsion wheel in sacramento ca will do them for around 500+ shipping etc etc. however the wheel is a 18x8.5 kmc picasso. ive heard issues with rims having to much backspace causeing rubbage on the frame. the wheel is basically a front wheel drive wheel. i was wondering am i better off getting adapters to space them out some. & swap in a courrier rear end. the adapters are 1.25" wide. and would cost me 425.00 shipped.

how much did you pay for the rims?

seems like alot of time, money and work to make the wrong size fit if you ask me. and 1.25 thick adapters are not such a good idea

sell them to a dakota or durango owner...is it really worth redrilling the rims?

My Mazda is drilled out to 6x135mm

I had the hubs and axles drilled out to fit my Navi wheels correctly. You can check out my profile for pics. It's not impossible, if that's what you want do it. Mine are nice because the second pattern is drilled between the old, so I can press out the studs and press them into the original lug pattern if I change my mind.

$425 for wheel adapters? damn. I bought my adapters from a sema approved guy on ebay and they come with a lifetime gurantee for around $175. Somebody is takin your ass if you pay $425 for adapters

Dakotas and durangos are 6 on 114.3, or roughly 6 on 4.5. Thats why those trucks are infuriating to redrill, because the most common pattern (5 on 4.5) to redrill to already has holes in the way. Viper wheels fit the Durango though Paul, lol. I'd love to see your rango with those!

they will also fit the new frontier and pathfinder

No, they wont. frontiers and pathfinders are still 6 on 5.5 or 6 on 139.7mm. The 6 on 135 is the new F150/expidition/navigator pattern. Saying that 135mm will bolt on a truck that is 139.7 is 5mm, or almost a QUARTER INCH, OFF, that is like saying that S10 wheels will fit a toyota. (114.3 to 120mm, almost 5 mm)

What is the offset? Because if you have a +40 or +45 on an 8.5 inch wheel, that is not a high fwd offset. Compared to a 18x7 with +45, that is almost a +10 equivalent. Not doubting, just wondering why any wheel company would make a fwd offset wheel for a truck that doesnt need it.

Wayne is right, to get that wheel to fit properly redrill your hubs.

this is the wheel, its a D/C'd style but i really like the rim, plus i got the rims in trade for another set of rims. i basically paid 450 for the rims if you count my price on the other rims. also they are brand new. i kinda measured the rims a lil bit, ive got 5.5" of back spacing. due to the center cap to the back of the wheel hub is 3"

an 8.5 inch wide wheel is 9.5 inches wide.

you need to measure from the back lip to get backspacing. Put a flat bar across the rim and measure down to the mounting surface. If you have 5.5 inches measured this way, those wheels are going to stick WAY out. You need closer to 7 inches backspacing to tuck an 8.5 wide rim on a mazda.

Let me know what you find, takes like 5 seconds to measure it, no guesses needed.
