im ready to bag the front of my burb. iv got an aftermarket disc brake setup with stock spindles. so id have to spend alot of money to get drop spindles. i was wondering if anyone has pics of their cut spring pockets so i can see it. the idea sounds simple but looking at it, it looks like it would take alot of integrity out of the front end of the truck.

does any one have this done and drive daily? im tired of it sittin cocked when its layed in the back. time for the front.

thanks-mike

if your aftermarket brakes work with your stock spindles, theres no reason why they wouldnt work with drop spindles.

thats alittle different than what most call a "fullsize chevy", most use these brackets:

and the drop spindles have the same mounts for the calipers as the stock spindles, so aftermarket brakes would work.

yea its a 68 burb. it had stock drum brakes. iv got a disc brake kit on the stock drum spindles.

i really dont like those plate brackets. iv used em before and i think its stupid to not be able to use the inside of the spring pocket. its very limiting.

cutting the pockets is a must so ur bags dont hit ur frame when ur layd out, on my brothers truck all he did was cut out a "C" on the pocket, and his a daily driver, well was until we tore it apart again
