Anyone know if its possible? I really want to put the supercharged version into my truck. My uncle who works for GM told my dad something about the 2.0 or the 2.2 being an easy swap and that the only thing i would have to change would be the wiring harness for the gauges.

ANYTING IS POSSIBLE. BUT CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG "ECOTECH IS FROM A FORD FUCUS"? WHY BOTHER? DROP A 350 CHEVROLET. BUILD IT AND GET OVER 300+ FUCK A FORD FOCUS SWAP... JUST MY 2 CENTS. ANYWAYS (TO MY KNOWLEDGE) THERE IS A 5.O SWAP... OR 350 SWAP, FAIRLY EASY....FUCK THE ECOTECH...GO V8 BITCHES

ok, you're wrong. ecotech is GM. I believe the focus is zetech. I say go for it. Everybody is putting in v-8's in s10's now. Its gettin old to me. Doing something like that would be unique.

a turbo'd ecotech would prolly be at least 150 pounds lighter than a 350 plus with a few tweaks, that turbo'd ecotech would put out 250+ hp easy (watch NOPI tv and see what those eco's are doing on there) and would be a screamer I vote for the ECO

I total agree, that would be a killer swap, something different, go for it

Yea I work at autozone so i get a lot of people trying to tell me what to put into when they see it in the parking lot and yea thats one reason i want to do it is because it would be something different. And yea the 2.0 supercharged ecotech is the one i wanna drop in it and it makes around 240 horse stock

the eco is the way to go. the bottom end will hold up to i think 600hp or 700hp stock.there really tough motors. i race out at bonniville and the gm group that goes out there were putting out 550hp on the stock bottom w/turbo and alittle tweek up top.

i bet matt feels dumb now

ecotech = GM and they are some pretty bullet proof little engines. go for it man that would be awesome rolling up in your 4 cylinder S10 rev it up to sound like a ricer and then smoke the hell out of some civics

Nice to see all of you want to see it done. Yea the four banger that could...it would be great blowing by people with that engine. And yea i know anything is possible but i was wondering if anyone actually knew what it would take? Cause i was hoping my uncle was right and that it wouldnt be too difficult but i dont know for sure. He was saying i could use the same motor mounts, and bellhousing, and just change out the one wiring harness.
