Yea I was wondering if the stock ac pump would work as an air compressor on a 92 pickup

should, just read up on the net about swapping it over....just like any other AC pump i beleive

it is a radial compressor so it will work but be prepared to replace it a few times. You'll need a preoiler and a afterfilter plus a water seperator. You need to keep an eye on the oil level and again have a couple sitting around the garage for a quick repair.

of course you caould always ditch the radial compressor and fab some brackets for a york compressor. You'd get more life out of it me thinks. I love my York.

i second th york comment...plus you get to keep your a/c....just get rid of the smog pump dealy and fab so sort of braket for a york off that thats what i did
