I've got a spare 300zx rear that would be about the same width.

I also have a rear end from an 86 corvette.

You'll have to shorten the vette, I'm not sure with the 300

There is so many threads about IRS stuff these days just do a search... 300zx should be fine and it gets a decent amount of camber, its a real cluster fuck lookin peice though...

RX7 will work and its nice and simple, 280sx will work as well again nice and simple and pretty much indestructible.

There is a ton of them that will work.

I with stick with a corvette irs for an s10. Just shorten it. Not too bad to shorten since the axles are pretty much like driveshafts.

Here's a list of rearends that do not have the same bolt pattern as an S10:
300z GEN 1,2, & 3
Rx7 GEN 2 & 3
280
Supra GEN 1,2 & 3
Lincoln Mark 8
Mustang GT
Correct me if Im wrong but I think every single rearend on that list will fit 5 on 4.5" (Toyota bolt pattern)
Bmw would be a great choice because it's the same bolt pattern. However, you would have to shorten the shafts.
