channeling

i was just wondering what all goes into channeling for a body drop on 88-98 chevy fullsizes...how much does the frame come through the floor ...etc? thanks

how much the of frame comes through the floor depends on how much you need to channel it. If you do a traditional body drop, you dont need to channel it. A stock floor body drop may require some sections of frame to be "channeled" into the floor depending on how much it is body dropped and how tal your frame is. Basically you are making a "channel" where the floor may come into contact with the frame, then make a new piece that is tall enough to clear the frame.
