i have a '80 c10 and quite often the front binds while going up and wont release until i hit a bump or fill them right full....any ideas of whats causing this? i tryed taking off the sway bar but that mad it even worse.

try loosening the bushing bolts on the upper arm.

it could be the bushings but i dont see them being that tight. do you have shocks? you could have bent or binding shocks.

if you have the lower and upper bushings that are steel and dont have any rubber in them, the screw style bushings tend to bind alot when they get old.

im trying to buld a set of cotrol arms to pivit in places has any one ever seen or heard of this kind of thing

explain in more detail.

Ive seen them made to pivot at the bushings and out close to the balljoints. really no need unless you have incorrect balljoint angles to start with.

just about any truck will lay on stock balljoints if the angles are correct to start with.
