Hey all, my name is Kevin Whipps, and I'm a custom car and truck builder out of Tempe, Az. I'm a freelancer for lots of different car and truck mags, and I also maintain a website at
And since my site doesn't allow remote linking... Here's some links to what I've built.
First my Civic, the Bad Apple. '96 Civic, 4-pumps, cut up to lay rocker and really cool until I flipped it out in the desert:
Then my Focus. '00 Focus wagon, big slider, 4 pump hydraulic setup, etc. It's now at the world famous "Towbin Dodge" in Vegas after being through 10 different dealers out here. Looks like shit, but you too could have it for $9999.
My '01 GMC Sierra. Channeled on 22's, 4-pumps (noticing a theme?) suicide doors, and soon to be in the driveway of someone else. If you look real close at this pic, you can see the next truck in the background, bone stock.
Finally, my current daily driver, my '04 Silverado. It's channeled on 22's, bagged - big change for me - and has a Leer shell. 2 sliders on order, 22" bonspeeds, Porsche blue with pinstriping.
Before paint:
After:
And the dually? Well it's a white, '87 crew cab with a 350, hydrobooster and a sticker of a horse on the side that I can't get rid of. No bed either, but at $900 for a truck that just passed emissions, I think I'm doing alright. No pics yet, but I'll be getting some soon. I'm thinking 22's, bodydrop to lay rocker (not pinch) and maybe I'll bag it, maybe I'll juice it. Who knows.
