ok, ive been trying to make a layout of my valve and airline locations... im gona run an 8 vavle setup... and i hear it is best to have the front valves closser to the struts... is it ok to have the struts actually right in the engine bay? another question i had was... if i use an regual 3/8 "t" to connect the fill and the dump vlaves together in the eingine compartment will that work ok? thanks for your help guys...

yes it will work and yes you are right, the closer the valve to the bag or strut in your case, the faster it is. but it's not a big enough difference to really be concerned with.

kool man.. thanks for the fast reply... the other 2 questions i had were...will it make a HUGE difference wether or not i use 3/8or 1/2 valves, and lines(as far as lift and drop speed goes) and the other question is...i want to use a 3/8 (or 1/2) NPT "t" to connect my valves under the hood...will a brass "t" with the pipe fittings work ok? or are they weak? thanks again...

ok, just to clairify my second question a little more:

if i mount a fill valve right to the thank and then screw a Pipe Threaded "t" into the exit of the fill valve and connect the dump valve to one side of the "t" with a female push-to connect fitting on the last part of the "t" to run to the air cylender ... that work ok? or will i run the risk of breaking the brass "t"? thanks guys... i this isnt clear enough, i can try to explain it better... thanks again...

brass is fine as long as it's rust resitant and you've got a good seal on it.

just go to home depot, and get a galvanized T fitting.

as far as size, it matters, 3/8 = kinda slow not too bad, 1/2 faster.

if you run 1/2" valves run 5/8" line (o.d) so I.D. is 1/2" for a true 1/2 system.

It'll be worth it in the end.

as far as mounting your valves by the bags, it speeds up RESPONSE time, not flow speeds.

i have my fill valves for my front located behind each kick panel down by my feet... and my lift and dump is still pretty fast without reducers... i'm running 1/2" setup with 1/2" line

i had to put reducers on the dumps with the half inch set up because i couldn't ever adjust my height lol it was either all the way up or all the way down.

holy shat.. it was that fast? did you have to put reducers on the front and rear? or just the rear?

I have 1/2" valves and line on my Caprice Wagon and it is fast as shit. I almost wish I would have went with 3/8" for my dump valves. I have filters on the rear because the are in the rear of the car...and I don't want to go deaf from letting my car down. My front valves are mounted to my core support without filters and the front almost falls to the ground instantly. But it scares the hell out of people when I bump it to let the car down. I love to sit at crosswalks and hit them when someone is in front of the car..they about piss their selves.
