Maybe you guys can help me.....When i got my truck bagged, the asshole who did it set it up so that when i lay out the axel shifts one way, and when i pick up, it shifts the other way.....My question i; is this normal? I don't think it is. I run 9" wide wheels and they're close to hitting the fuckin' frame because of the shifting.

what type setup do you have in the rear?

Sounds like he put a parallel 3 or 4 link in with a panhard bar. Yes thats normal for that type of set up. The only way to eliminate the axle moving is to ditch the panhard bar and install a watts link. Or if there is room, you could make a longer panhard bar. That will reduce the amount of axle shifting. The last option would be to change the entire setup to a triangulated type 4 link or wishbone 3 link. HOpe that answered your questions.

Yup, forgot to mention two link with panhard bar (thats the bar that is going side to side from the frame to the axle). The panhard bar is what causes the axle to shift to the side when adjusting the ride height. The track bar that John mentioned goes diagonally from one link bar (near the axle pivot end) to the other link bar ( near the frame pivot end) Check out IF Customs website www.ifcustom.com They have some pics of track bar installs on there site.

Thanks Steve...I thought it was the Panhard Bar...So theres nothing to correct this while keeping the Panhard bar huh?

the trac bar goes from the front of one of the 2 link bars to the rear of the other and is usually adjustable.

you can also go with a watts link that holds the axle in the center. depends on the look you are going for.

The Track bar hangs below the axel right? And hows the Watts bar set up? Also, i couldn't find those pics on IF's website.
