2 X 2 X 1/4 is all you need, if you are setting it up for 22s use a 2" block on top (we make them out of the same box tubing).

if you're worried about the gas tank or something do one of these beautys, a parallel 4 link with watts link. rides better than any 2 link IMO.

im sorry but there is no way bags on top of the axle will ever ride better then the bags mounted off of a 2 link or off of a 4 link.... and yes you always need shocks!

that picture was taken before the truck was finished, notice the loose wires and loom, there are shocks on there. and those are slam rs82, they are huge bags. with the 2 link, where does the point of instant center occur? are there any antidive properties to help the truck apply downward force to the rear end to increase traction? how about a washed out unpaved driveway? good luck getting out of there with a 2 link. another problem that cause a poor ride is when one wheel hits a bump, raises the other wheel off the ground.. it also causes stress on the axle and the frame because there is no articulation, i could go on and on.

Im not sure, is it cast?

I think it is cast but my dad chose welding as a profession some 15-20 years ago and has done it all his life and he seems to think he can weld it up but i dunno i mean i would hate to waste the money on a useless 4-link

the bars in that watts are too short. with extreme lift they could bind. with those bags on the axle you most likely dont get enough lift to bind the watts, but if the bags were down on the bars you would for sure bind the watts and break something.

the center piece needs to be straight up and down at least, and its better to have the center tilted with the bars going past the center for more travel of the watts.

a parallel 4 link with a watts is by far the best setup from a geometry standpoint, but its not cheap. a 2 link is sufficient if the bars are very long. if not then you get alot of pinion angle change and lots of driveshaft plunge.
