Speaking of swaps, wasn't there a video on here of a guy that "shoehorned" a supercharged LT-1 in a late 80's 280 or 300z?

The first all-aluminum GM V8 made was based off the Buick Nailhead. Used to power Buick's smaller cars(Buick had no I6), it was also available in some Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs. The Buick designed V8 was replaced by a Cast Iron V6 version, and the design and tooling was sold to Rover, where it is still used today. So wait... Gm sold a design to Rover? Is it O.K. with you if I put this import motor in my import truck now that Rover owns the design? It's not American now right?

boo fuckin hoo get over it you bunch of yee haw rednecks...

"aww hawt dayum dey dun gone and put a dang ole jap motor in a hawt dang stang boy i tale ya'll whut..."

give me a damn break. you didn't pay for the car OR the motor, and you also didn't put in the work to make it fit. i don't think it's that great of a swap, but you don't have to make it out to be sacreligous.

You know I used to think the same thing. Then I relized "jap shit" was not shit at all and it was actually better in alot of ways. Think of the Japan car industry as friendly competition. If anything, it has forced all domestic automakers to build better (more efficient) cars. Which has already happened. To keep your job, It relies on the automaker. Tell them to build a better car than Toyota then you may keep your job.

Definately a respectable motor, respectable ford too, but they don't go together, and that fart can on the back of stang has got to go. its just not right
