My welder stopped feeding wire. Its a Chicago mig 100.. yea iknow its a crapy welder but still ive only had it for a month now and Im not out of wire. The motor that feeds the wire wont even try to feed the wire. It just straight up stopped. Has anyone had this problem?

usually the wires in the whip become loose, try wiggleing them where they plug into the front of the welder.

Ok i found what is wrong with it... the damn overload light is on.. now what the helldoes that mean?

on that welder, probably means that you've had it on to long. either that or you've got it cranked all the way up and it'll only handle it for 5 min or so....

Some welders are rated with duty cycles like compressors

Yea ive looked into a little bit more.. and yea it has a duty cycle of 10% at 90 amps.. but still wouldnt it just like blow a fuse or have some safety fuse pop or something? or do they just fry

i have that same shitty welder that i learned on there is a fuse on the wire feeder that blows and you have to replace it. happens when you use it on the high setting to much

Yea i looked at that fuse before and it didnt look blown... its the one on the wire feed circut panel right?
