Those are just a few pics of his trucks. There was also the Green Ford Expedition, The Impala, The Blue Fullsize Chevy, The Yellow Fullsize Ford, The Yellow Suburban. I can't think of any more right now, but I think we already proven what kind of rides this guy builds!

someone should find pics of all this guy has built and do a rendering of all of them together, that would be pretty cool

i have seen a bunch of craig elders trucks in person and i must say when i saw streetrucks last week i was very disappointed. there was no engineering in this truck compared to what he usually has built for his show cars. it is a nice truck dont get me wrong but he is on the cover this time due to who he knows! IMO...

Your quite correct, but I didn't want to look through tons of show coverage to find the other ones.

Craig Elder builds lots of nice stuff. Personally I would love to see Craig Elder and Doug Deberti face off build vehicles because he builds just as good, if not some cooler rides that Craig...........I think that would be interesting.

The H2 is his wife Wendy's, and the Escalade clipped yellow Silverado belongs to her dad Jim, owner of Ranch Muffler in Temecula, CA. I talked to Craig and Jim two weeks before the Silverado's debut at SEMA a couple of years ago, they were still working on the steering and suspension, the truck was still white, nothing was shaved, no interior, no chrome or paint on anything, couldnt believe it got finished in time. I've driven the Excursion, one word, SCARY. Way too tall, and the steering was soooooo sensitive. There was not enough caster built in, so it wouldnt straighten itself out after making a turn and it liked to wander real bad. I had the old Astro here at the shop at the beginning of the year to have some valves installed. That thing is a POS. The 4-link had broken multiple times and been "repaired". There was about an inch of bondo in the roll pan that was falling off, the paint was sooo thick form never being stripped before the next paint job (the original green was still under everything!) It looked cool from 20 feet away though, and the 350 in it ran good and sounded healthy. Oh yeah, and it was built by the now gone Crazy Customs of Escondido. It was green with the graphics when featured in Minitruckin originally, then Craig got it and changed the green to yellow. Then came the orange, the interior, the 350, and 20's.

It's not like Craig builds it himself, so how could that be a build off?

thanks kool aid that was what i was trying to say in my post that he has the stuff built. and like the other folks have pointed out some stuff is not his whether dad in laws or wifes. the point is he has a name so he can get sponsors and get in a mag.

I mean he has some cool shit and his name is everywhere in our industry.

I was referring to conceptual design build off. I mean you act like Chip Foose and all the other designers do all the work themselves. Everybody gets help somewhere, and I bet there is a part of the build up that Craig knows really well and takes part in.

Fact of the matter is, both those individuals have more cover trucks than alot of people here combine. I think they have built alot of nice stuff and I thought it would be interesting if they built the same vehicle with their own new swing on it and see how each comes out.
