Gearbox issue

My gearbox is whinning like a fu*ker - but I can't find where to put oil in it to shut the damn thing up!

Can anybody direct me to where to fill the gearbox with oil on a B2200?

There is a check plug on the side of the gearbox that you can add oil thru. It's kind of a bitch to fill thru the side without a pump though. You can cure that problem by pulling your shifter and dumping oil in the hole until it comes out the check/fill hole in the side of the trans. When oil comes out the check plug hole you will know that yer full.

Okay I did that and filled it... but the the noice hasn't abated... It is noicy as anything in 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th but strangly enough is quite as a mouse in 4th... Seems weird to me - anyone else come across this issue?

take the shifter out, put it in there

Did that bro... no luck in killing the sound.

the reason it's quiet in 4th is that it is direct drive so there is no gear reduction or enlargement when in 4th. I am sorry to say that I think your tranny is on it's last legs
