the airbrake shit is cheap too, just use that. been below zero here quite a bit and still no problems... I just dumped a quart in the tank and played with the switches for a while to hopefully push it thru the system... one fill valve stuck open just a little, but it was a really slow fill rate so no biggie...

ahhhh, i dunno then, my local parts store carried it, so I figured it was easy to get!

i'm betting though that you're going to have to warm it up somehow to get it working for the alcohol or antifreese to do it's job anyway though, it's not going to help just by adding it, it needs to be in the air before it freezes to do the job...

you can get that stuff from napa auto parts, and it works really good too

the air brake stuff has a lubricant in it so it doesnt dry out the lines and bags.i dont think rubbing alcohol will be strong enough.i.m part owner of a trucking company and we use methol hydrate to unfreeze our trucks in the winter. just pull off you compressor line and dump a bunch in the line, then hook it back up and fire the compressor up.methol hydrate or alcohol is attracted to moisture so it will find it and melt it.usually takes a couple of minutes.

i went and picked some air brake anti freeze from napa the other day the only reason i never saw it was because it was hidden behind a bunch of deisel fuel additives and shit but i got it now so should i just pop the plug off the top of my tank and pour li half the bottle in or what

depending on what kind of compressor you have you would be better to put it into your compressor line because it will spray it into the tank in a mist which would have an easier time getting to your valves rather than just dumping it in the tank.it doesnt take a whole lot, just dump a little bit in and wait a few minutes then try it,if nothing happens then try a little more but dont dump a whole bunch in.if it doesnt work then i would try to get my hands on some methol hydrate because i know it works the best.by the way make sure you put it in the output side of your comp.i'm sure you know that but just makin sure, you dont want that stuff in you compressor.
