there is a plastic cover that covers the nuts that holds the wiper arm on. the end towards the wiper cowl actually clips around the wiper arm. pop this side off first and pull back toward the wiper itself. the cover should just slide off. to remove the arm, remove the nut (12mm), stand the wiper staight up, and work it up and down until it the arm breaks loose from the splined wiper stud.
