i was just wondering what offset everyone was running on 20's w/ 2in drop spindels, would 14mm be ok

That would not even come close to tucking. You need a 6.5 inch back space for rims to tuck in the back (without shortening the rear end). For 20X8.5 +38MM, 20X9.0 +32mm, 20X9.5 +25mm, 20X10 +19mm. Keep in mind, you can buy rims and have them shaved to meet the correct offset. Just know that you can only shave most rims a few mm. Check with the maker of the rims (like a salesman at the manufacturer) and ask them "what is the most I can shave this rim". I hope this helps! In case you can't tell, I have been through this a few times.

so 14mm offset would probably hit the outside of the bed and fenders

its on a 1990 fullsize to if this changes anything

+14mm WILL hit your fenders. Go by the numbers I wrote on the previous post. 1990 or 2006, it does not matter. You need 6.5 inches of back space in the rear to tuck.

whats the difference between offset and backspacing

I have 22x9.5 on my 1997 tahoe with +13 offset and looks like they will tuck fine. I used to have 20x8.5 with a +15 and they would be fine. My friend has Helo's 20x9.0 with a +10 and his tucks fine bagged and laying frame. The older chevy's DO NOT need as much backspacing as the new ones do. The new ones need lots of offset like into the high 30's or 40's.

Offset and backspace are just two different ways to describe it. Here is a chart on a website site that tells you what offset equals to backspace.

i think you are goin backwards.....

a 14 mm offset on a 20x8.5 would be ok, i bagged a 95 gmc on that size wheel. if you are bodydropped, alittle higher offset would be nice to keep the tires away from the bedsides.
