vacuum leak, stuck injector, bad fuel pressure regulator. Idle the engine and pull off the plug wires one by one. See if you have a dead cylinder, the idle wont change when you unplug the dead one.
Also, you O2 sensor may be bad, unplugging it will force the ECU to stay in open loop and may improve gas mileage.
And how is the idle? Make sure you got the plug wires on correctly. I dont remember the firing order on a 2.6 but it should be 1342 like other mazda 4 cylinders.
Make sure you didnt knock a big vacuum line off.
The B2600i uses a flapper door AFM (Air Flow Meter, that silver box behind the air filter), make sure it isnt unplugged, or the flap stuck open. The flapper door outputs a resistance to the ECU to tell it how much air the engine is ingesting, and if it is stuck open or unplugged you will use a LOT more gas.
and 92 octane will do nothing for an engine without dynamic timing and a knock sensor. (the B2600i has neither) Buy the cheapest stuff that doesnt knock, you'll get more power and more mileage.
