how do you black out tailights, do you just slap on some tint?

wetsand them down with 1000 grit, and spray a black candy over the top of them, then put a couple coats of clear over that.

Nightshade. It's made for blacking out taillights and other lights. Usually can get it in auto parts stores.

thats ghetto.

clear with some black in it works fine... another bas ass look would be a candy red with a candy black and then cleared over.

too expensive at the auto parts store, like 10 bucks for a can and it comes out too thick for my taste.

What I did to my last BMW was went to the hobby store and bought a can of testors spary paint called "window tint", they sell it so you can tint the windows on models and plastic rc bodies. Like $2.50 for the can. Wet sand it with some 1000 grit and dry really well (lint free, like a bath towel), then spray on two LIGHT COATS. If you really spray it on there it will get too dark, so be very careful.

Mine held up great in the sun, I sold the car but still see it around and it still looks good. Prep is the key, make sure you scuff em up good!
