Do this, get a 3in drop spindle for a 73-87, Belltech makes one i think and then switch the balljoints...ClassicTrucks did this on there project oldskool that Totally Polished has worked on, also with these spindles you can get a lot better brakes like Baer or Stainless Steel Brakes

ya change over to the 73-87 c10 ball joints in the truck and i'm not sure if you have to change tie rods too or not. make sure you know what rotor width you want to go with before you get your spindle because there is 2 different sizes for the 1/2 ton's. i just did this to a guys truck at my work and it turned out ok, have to remember when you do this you should up grade your master cylinder for the additional required volume and not run a proportioning valve in the system so you get the correct front to rear biased for the braking. any other questions hit me up
