i just finished backhalfing my truck. i used 2x4 x .120 box tubing and flatstock. but if you wanna do a stack floor use 3x3 x .120 or 2x3 x .120...heres some pics

2x3 1/4 thick is perfect if you want to do a stock floor. The taller you go the more channeling your going to have to do.
is 2x4x 10 gauge sufficent for a back half
how close is 10 gauge 2 3/16?

I used 2x3 box tubing that was 1/4" (0.25)inch thick on my '95 S-10 from the firewall back for the stock floor bodydrop. It's pretty strong. I used to have bag cups that were made out of 1/8" (0.125) inch thick and they bent in like a week so I don't really trust 1/8" stuff. I would either use 3/16" (0.1875) inch thick or 1/4" (0.25) inch thick.
