I just got a 2006 f150 and got some rims for it. My dilema is the lug nuts which I got are too long to where my center cap wont fit . What I need is a lug nut open ended that is acorn shape because all the 2" lugs they say to use are to long and wont allow for the cap. Can I cut an 1/8 off each lug? Grind the humps off the stockers so the lay right? OR is there a set I can pickup to fit. I really just want knew ones. The rims look like crap with out the caps.

Just go to yur local auto parts store. They should have a plethora of different lug nuts. If they're gonna be behind a cap, I'm sure they dont need to be chrome or anything...

Tried it all ready. It's an odd ball lug and everything I tried failed thus far. What I really need is a openended lug that fits that is around 1 1/2" but I can't find them.

I had the same propblem with my ranger. I went to the place where I got my rims and they had to replace the lug nutz and I had to get a spacer for the wheels to fit..

I have 24" lorenzo L07 not that rim it self should matter as much as the lug itself.

since it is going behind a cap, just cut the heads off of the lugs and open them up. Spray them with something to keep the lugs from rusting. Just cut off what you need to clear. Red

I was going to cut the tops off but i wasn't sure if by cutting them it would make the lugs weak?
