Hey can i put new heads and intake and carb on my 89 model tbi block? I need to get rid of all the ecu BS. Is that possible or would i have to replace the block? Any help would be nice im needing to start on it soon so help in a hurry is needed. Thanks sorry for the rush.

if you are talking about putting old style carbs and heads on it yes you can just replace them with the old setup and just bypass all the wires. They are the same block except the tbi are not 4-bolt main caps on the crank. Everything else is enterchangeable up through the 98 motors

hey man no you dont change the block all you realy have to change is the fuel pump cause the eletric in tank pump puts out way to much for a carb...i used an in line pump for a 4.3 and it works awsome..and you can still use your fuel lines already ran...just make sure that when you get the intake to swap to a carb..there is one diffrence the 4 holes on the sides of the intake middle 2 on each side the newer blocks are straight up and down...the older ones are slanted...see what im sayin...need anymore help lemme know...i jusy finished this on my 92 chevy...
