Im just wondering if anyone here has gone through the bmw step training program for collision and refinishing. I am a current Wyotech student and am just looking into some choices after school! If anyone has any info on this, post it! Thanks a lot!

I am going to school for auto technology (Mechanic) and Im workin my ass off to get into the BMW STEP program. I know its different from collision and refinishing, BUT the STEP program is very hard to get into, since you have to be accepted into it. You have to have at least 98% attendance with the school you are at now or they won't even look at you. You also need at least 3.8 GPA. But I believe now its 3.5 GPA, www.bmwstep.com should have the info. But its not an easy program at all from what I've heard from people who are currently in it for the mechanic's part. Im sure the body work part of it is ran the same. It's a great program and once you're done you have a contract to work for a BMW dealer. Hope this helped you out a little.

thanks, that's pretty much the info i have so far. as far as i know, they only accept 24 students a year for the collision part, 8 at each campus. Im not worried about meeting the requirements, i have a 4.0 gpa and 100% attendance at wyotech, so that part isnt a problem. It does look like a really good program. Good luck to you!
