i am building a custom sub box and center console for my 1960 ford f100. there with be 3 13 inch jl audio subs behind the seats and a custom center console that will hold the air ride switches, power windows, door locks, door poppers buttons, and the deck which still needs to be picked out but it will be a 1 din head unit. i have worked with wood before on building structures like apartments, shacks, and tree houses so i have every tool i think i need to build these stuctures but lack the know how. i have heard of making templates of cardboard then makeing the final thing but im not sure. i also want to fiberglass the case. would that be hard to do if i have never done it before? anything helps.

Basically u wanna build a "skeleton" first which is basically where everything is gonna sit and how it will be positioned then once u have that done wrap the skeleton in fleece material which u can purchase at a fabric store. Then coat it in resin make sure u mix it well and get good coverage. The add your fiberglass mat and cover in more resin keep adding mat until u feel its strong enough put up with the stress of the sub. then sand and knock down most the high spots add your mud "filler" sand then skim coat sand spray primer, block sand, prime, base, clear!
