anyone w/ a cowl hood????

I did a 2 3/4" bd on my 89 b2200 and while doing the bd i took the engine out and rebuilt it, now when i put the engine back in, the air filter crap is sticking a little over my fenders, i dont think that cutting the hood bracing is going to be enough.. and i am NOT wanting to have a big hole in my hood.... suggestions would be great thanks..

cut your engine mounts in half and lower the motor ~1/2 inch. My last truck was bd 2.5 with dropped mounts and the hood bracing wasnt even cut.

no, you can lower it if you like, and I cant wait for someone to pop in and say the engine is supposed to be level, but we drive our bagged trucks everywhere with like a 15 degree tilt anyway.

i lowered my tranny mount, and i think you would actually gain more clearance by only lowering the motor mounts because the angle would make the front of the motor lower. if that makes any since.

one of my buddys, did a 2 1/5 body drop and made a cowl hood, after getting sick of it he got someone to make a intake peice that sticks right out the side as opposed to it sticking up ontop the eninge.... might be one thing you wanna look into....

Hardwood make a steel one for one of my buddies back in like 95-96 so I know they can make em... Just depends on if they wanna or not.

my truck is 1/2" into the doors and has a stock hood with a stock carb, my underbracing is cut, but you guys are making this way too complicated
