i just purchased a 95 chevy 3500, i wanna bag it the front is no prob, but the rear is what im concerned about , what kind of notch should i use, do i need one ? also 2link 4link 6 link ? which is safe, best for towing? any help is appreciated
build a notch out of 1/4" plate, thats what I used on mine, and use a 4-link. Seen some 2 links brake from going up driveways and such. I tow all the time with my crew cab dually. I run a large goodyear bag in the rear.
parallel 4 link with a watts link... thats what i run in my dually..no probs
I run a air ride tech bolt on 4 link in the rear. It rides great and can tow anything it could before. I had a belltech notch on it but now I just built a bigger notch out of some 1/4 plate and some square tubing. I built mine very strong because I do tow big trailers. If you want some pics let me know your add. and I can email you some
4 link with bag over the axle and use a Slam 82 or 2800 or larger bag over axle to keep towing up. i would doe a 2x4x.25 box notch easier to weld in than the plate style but which ever floats your boat
4 link. i had no problem towing something. just do like heights said.
cool thanx for all the help, so a 4 link with the watts system and 2800 lb bags with a reg notchshouold do it ?? would anyone like to share pics (detailed) of their rear setup without the bed on thanx in advance
on duallys i usually run 2 links with panhard and bags above the axle. Did one dually that was flipped repeatedly by hurricane Ivan and nothing broke loose....
My 2 personal duallys 1 in bagged with 2 link and the new one 1 am going to try 4 link with bags on the bars for more lift to clear the big wheels because bags on the axles dont give u much lift in the rear.....
Call suicidedoors.com and ask them to cut you a 1/4 10" notch they have built several for me and they all worked out great.....
Hope this helped
