plastic bed rails

i want to remove my plastic bed rails on my 98 F150. i have a snug top bed cover on it and was wondering if anybody has removed the bed rails with a bed cover. does it sit right on the bed or does it even make a differance?

ford is freaking retarded for putting those peices of SHITS on their damn trucks!!!!!!!!!(have fun gettin them off)
