billet steering wheel

My question is that i have a 2000 s-10 and i got a billet steering wheel for it but im not seeing how to take the wheel off. Would it be ok if i just disconnected the battery and unhooked the airbag censor and just staarted hacking or would i have to take it up to the dealorship?

just disconect the battery and wait like five min, then take the airbag off, then im not sure on s10s but on my truck it had a nut in the center, take that off, then you will need a steering wheel puller, you can get one from auto zone, then take the clockspring off and you can bolt up the new hub and steering wheel and your set
