I just got my truck repainted, and there are marks from where the guy buffed it. My question is will the marks come out with just a coat of wax? The guy that painted it said that would work, but I wanted to get some more opinions.

Thanx

It just depends on what type of buffing pad he used, my opinion a good buff job there should be no marks when you are done.

what kind of marks???are they swirl marks???are they burn through marks????if they are swirl marks, u could buff those out with a foam pad polish glaze, or just hand wax the whole car.

Thanx for the replies. The marks look like swirl marks, so hopefully they will come out with a good wax job.

Thanx

hey whats up i paint cars and trucks everyday at my shop it all depends on what pad compound and did he even give it a bath
before he started cause if there was any dirt in your clear and he sanded it or did he even sanded it what grit sand paper did he used i use 1500 and then go back over it with 3000 grit sand paper it makes it slick like a babys ass.... i promise if u have any questions message me and i will give u my number so we can talk

how long ago was it repainted? You really shouldnt wax it, or the paint wont be able to breath and finish curing. You could use a good hand glaze, i like how meguiars works.

you shouldnt have to wax it
if you are paying a shop to paint your truck they should have it looking sweet when you pick it up. take it back and tell them to take the swirls out. dont wax it. in fact you arent supposed to wax a new paint job for like a month. you shouldnt have to wax it for a long long time.

Dude are you serious man if it's been buffed wax the shit out of it cause when you buff you sand some of the uv protection out of the clear and waxing adds a thin layer of uv coating back to the surface. i have heard some shit on these forums but that takes the cake.
