Ive got some high heat POR15 that i want to thin out to spray. it says on the can to only use por15 solvent. can i use something else like lacquer thinner instead? i was thinking of trying a 1-1 ratio with the lacquer

their website says to mix 8 parts of the paint with one part of the thinner so i wonder if i can spray it without thinning it since they reccommend very little thinner. Seeing as how i dont even need a soda can full of paint to spray what i need

SEEMS LIKE IF YOU HAD A BIG ENOUGH TIP AND WHAT NOT YOU WOULD BE FINE.

a lot of times you need thinner to help dry the paint because of the vocs coming out of the paint, so from what i understand is if you over reduce it will dry faster

we used the POR 15 chevy orange and when thinned down it was like spraying water. so we sprayed it without thinning it and worked great. i would recommend not thinning it, but its up to you.

well i just did it i put the paint through 2 of the paper strainer funnels and it sprayed just fine. After I painted it I put it near my woodstove in my garage so it shouldnt have any problems drying
