Which motor to boost???

I am building a track slut 93 hatch and I want your idea on which motor to run and boost... A B16a or a B18b???? keep in mind this will most likely not be a street car. And if you hate hondas please dont post back some dumb crap about how they suck. I own a minitruck to, this is just my track slut for the weekends.

bolt the b16a head with the ls b18b block then boost it

I hate ls vtec I had a b20 Vtec that didnt last and ever since then bad vibes... when it comes down to it that head was never designed to go on that block period.

oh,go with the b18b,did you mate the b16a head with the b20 bottom end?

yup it lasted a whole 2 months and it was done profesionaly. I just want to know which will hold up better with stock internals for now

i was told to use a b18 head on a b20 bottom,prolly the b18b,since they don't have much of domed pistons,overall there pretty stout for boosted applications

For boost on stock internals go with the B18A or B the B16A has a 10:4:1 compression so you won't be pushing to much boost with that,The B18 runs a solid 9:1 compression which is good for 8 pounds of boost safly,Now if you have abit of cash Take the B16 build the bottom end with new rods,pistons and drop that compression down to 8:5:1 get a stage 2 cam and you should be running low 12's high 11's with a gutted hatch and 12 pounds of boost.

Of course you'll need other things of course,feul,ignition,Good tuning etc but you'll have a very fast street car.
