4.3 vortec in older s10

does anyone know what all is needed in the swap to put a 4.3 vortec in a non vortec 4.3 s10??

if you have the complete vortec 4.3, youll need the computer and engine bay wiring harness. it will bolt up to the 700r4 thats already in the truck, but i think the vortec motors also used a more electronic tranny.

thats what i could remember when i talked to a guy about that swap several years ago.

In order to run a vortec 6 cyl you need the whole truck harness the compter boxs(mine had two boxs)and the tranny(4l60e in most)and some needed the gauge cluster to i recemend staying away from anthing before 1996 the 95s didnt run right unless you put in the gauge cluster and sometimes they didnt even start without it.
