hey guys 70's mazda trucks with 1.8 litre motors. what trannys will interchange with this? i found one with an auto that i think the tranny is going. got any ideas?

the later trans will not interchange, the first F block was 1978 as a 2.0l with a timing chain head, used in the 626 and trucks.

I dont know the engine type off the top of my head, but likely it will be the same as the old RWD GLC (or whatever the old 70's GLC type car was), you will need to find RWD cars and trucks of the same vintage to get the right trans.

I didnt see it, but its probably Jim (madlowmazda). He has the 2 liter kia motor in his truck and running, he just sent me a vid of him screwing around in a parking lot and it is AWESOME.

damn that really looks nice. it is super clean. he really knows what he is doing but it is interesting how it sure does favor your russ-d..... maybe you been helping a bit at least with ideas?

i was thinking about taking the 2.6 DOHC out of my altima and putting it in my 620 ... HEHE

Jim emailed me with general questions, but he did everything 100% himself. His truck is awesome, I cant wait to see it in person. Magazine editors should be looking at it too, because he is definitely ahead of the curve on mazda modifications....

so when you getting your built intake back on your? didnt you say you put a 323 or a 626 on there right now?
