flipping the upper wont give you any more drop, but it does correct some negative camber. If you like to roll super low and are having problems with excessive camber, you can flip the uppers and get a couple degrees back. Beware though, some wheels only really tuck well with camber.
Also, flipping the upper can keep the upper balljoint from binding at full drop, but may lead to binding at full lift. If you can lay out without binding and like to lift really high to drive, you are probably ok the way it is. I know guys that have broken upper balljoints dragging though, because it was just barely binding and they hit a big bump while laid out. Not saying you will, just a precautionary tale.
