Hi all,I just got a 92 silverado 2500 4x4 and was wondering how low you can get them and what the best way to do it is?

Will they lay frame with a notch and bag job??

how low can you get them with a static drop and does it wreck the front 4wd stuff if you have them too low? whats the best way to lower the front??

any help would be great. I'm in Australia so there's not too much info over here about chevy trucks.

cheers

First thing you do is stand up, cup your fist, and allow it to hit your head with a strong force. Hopefully this with will result in the realization that you actually had the idea of lowering a 4x4.

i dont know about a OBS 2500. there is a guy on gmfullsize.com with an OBS 1500 thats 4wd...its 1" from laying frame and teh 4wd works fine that low. engaged and everything 1" from laying.

he is bagged off the upper control arms so he can retain the 4wd.

i hate people that bash for wanting to bag/lower a 4x4...yet a bagged 2wd s10 is so 1337...

4X4's belong in the mud and rocks...whats the point of having a lowered 4X4 when you cant use it?

the point is i got it a lot cheaper than i could get a 2wd over here. chev's ain't cheap in australia.

now can anybody help me out with a good way to lower a 4x4 and not just flame me for choosing to do so. i don't even want it ridiculously low .. just enough to look a bit more stylish

Im not "flameing" you about it...it just doesnt make any since to lower a 4x4.

If you want it "stylish" put some 20's on it with some big mud tires on it and a lift kit.

i agree with time
lift it with some big ass wheels on mud tires. nothing says "stylish" like a new set of wheels!
