no, Jim got the fenders too. I wanted all 2wd sheetmetal on my truck, I used the 4x4 fenders because the spindles pushed the wheels out.

I dont have that problem any longer lol.

you could do it like russ but you have to add metal to the sides we cut ours up higher and if you do it right it will look like you never cut anything and the only place you will need to add metal is in the rear if you want some pick of my buddies bed let me know ill send em to ya later P

Why do any of you ask Russ anything. . .He has absolutely no clue about anything. . . He pulls everything out of his hooty. . .I asked for help with pointers for my BD and now all I have is a POS that lays rocker. . . Oh wait, I just gave him credit for something, that wasn't suppose to happen. . . Come to showfest Russ, you must. . .Come to showfest. . .are you hypnotized yet?

actually the only fillers you need are just around the wheelarch, and only where the bed side tucks in. I put corner pieces in mine because I knew I would be rhino lining it and wanted a sharp edge in the corners, but we have done them without and it looks perfect.

I have done several, both with a high cut and removing the amount of drop above the arch and then the way I described. The high cut has its merits, and I am not saying its wrong, but two guys did the way I described in under 4 hours...... Thats from stock bed to 5.5 inch raised floor.... I like this way better, its faster and looks really good, and most importantly keeps ALL the strength in the bedsides (by leaving the complete inner structure intact).

Again, not knocking one way over the other, but this way looks good too...

i agree russ im no knocking the way you did it im sure it looks good when you do it that way i was just giving him some other options i just like the challenge of adding as little metal as possible

i cut the side panels off, and used them for sweet lookin fillers on the back of the bed, then sheetmetaled the walls up so they would be flush with the bedrail, also i went one step further on the front panel, and sectioned it so it would look right and bolt back up to all the holes on the front of the bed.
