also does anyone know of 67-72 or 73-87 tranny xmembers? it be sweet to find one ready made and not have to fab one.

I dont know about the 68, but i z'd my 84 2.5 and it lays frame i dont think there is much difference between these frames. On the tranny mount if you look in the new truckin they use a tranny mount from classicperform.com,looking into one myself.

my front disc brake kit is from them. im not sure if i want to do business with them again. in this instance id rather make one that buy from classic performance.

how about that Z

the z is pretty easy, if you check profiles under c-10 there are some pretty good pics. One profile that i remember seeing is ostncln, the black short bed from texas, his plates say cdime. He also has picts of his steering shaft, u-joints pretty much are a must.

what happend w/ classic performance that you won't do business w/ them again?

Section the crossmember.

Section it 2" and you will lay flat out, and the crossmember won't hit the ground. You also retain oil pan space. Just turn your welder up and weld it on both sides. Box it where you feel necessary.
