will i have to get rid of thses stabiliziers that come off the lower control arms and mount up to the front under the radiator? there for sway i imagine?? i will be body droppin and z'ing. do these stay or go??

those bars are what triangulate the lower arm, without them it would move back and forth, which is not good.

They stay.

You might be able to take them out and run them towards the back of the truck, and make new mounts under the cab. Or maybe move them up front, but you need the strut rods unless you swap to something like the kustom werks control arms. Then you can ditch them.

Pasting this from a reply I posted a while back, hope it helps!

Of course tubular lowers would work, but cost alot more. What was done on my brothers truck, and I will probably do on mine unless I get me a set of KustomWerks.. is reverse the rod off the back of the LCA to the framerail.

Pick up some of these, (right hand/left hand threaded), some Jam nuts, dust caps..

All can be found at SpeedwayMotors.com - LINK oror

and

Then you'll need to measure to see what length bar you'd need, and SpeedWay also sells bars that'd work (just be sure to get the right size according to your rod ends):

They have those: Swedged 6061 aluminum radius rods. 1" O.D., 5/8" NF threads. LH threads on one end. RH threads on the other end. - at different lengths.

LINK

Then you'd just need some tabs, fab some up.. or buy some, A&A Manufacturing has a variety of tabs also.. LINK

Edit - at one time, a while back I had it all priced out and was I think $80 but don't think that included tabs/hardware. Hope that helps.

thanks alot!!!
btu do i really really have to move them to the rear? instead of facing th fron of the truck? whats the advantage or disadvantage. i know they must stay sinc e im not changing the control arms.

Nah man, if you see a way ( i havent really worried about it yet on my truck ) you can just move them a little to where everything works. johnny (hopntoy) I'm pretty sure built new brackets off the frame and reinforced it all, cleaned it up to look pretty much better/and be stronger than stock, check his profile out, maybe get in touch with him. Reversing is just one option.. good luck bro!

you can leave them right where they are at..just cut off the part of the bracket that bolts to the front frame..and brace them up..then you will have to have your lower radiator port moved over to clear the end of the rod..but its alot easier than building new ones i would say

Are some of our radiators plastic at the bottom? I thought i remembered someone mentioning that before.. I honestly can't remember if mine is lol.
