Estimate onShaving 00 HD-F150 tailgate

A local body man who has experiance on custom body work gave me a price of $800.00 just to shave my tailgate and 2 embelems and them put it in sealer.... Am I gettin rapped on the price?

yea that does sound kind of pricy, i would say 800 painted is high lol. now is he takin out the bubble in the tailgate were the handle was? then maybe i can see that.

i shaved my handle and frenched a plate in the gate and it only ran me 350 painted.

well you get what you pay for.. if he is charging that much he should know his shit and do you a great job...

I agree - there's people who would do that kind of work for $150... but it will look like a $150 job. I realize not everyone has money out the ass, but if its quality you're looking for, it don't come cheap.

for that much i would definately request to see some of his similar work and how it came out, ask for customers names if he will give em cuz then you can see how they liked his work.

I sure as hell wouldn't trust anybody that charged less than $500 for shaving 3 panels. When a gallon of decent primer is over $200, I don't know how it could get any cheaper! Doing shit right costs a bank these days...
