front crossmember beefage

how is everyone beefing their front crossmember...i think im gonna take a peice of solid square stock and drill holes in it,and just replace the whole thing...maybe weld some 1/4 plate to the bottom

I sectioned it enough to clear the lower rad hose and welded in some 1x3 tubing.Crossmember

*Edit*For the engine crossmember, I flipped it and welded in some hefty channel. Had to section it for oil pan clearance.Engine Crossmember

I think he means the one the lower control arms are attatched to?

welded mine in and plated with 1/4 plate

yeah my crossmember beef is working well for me

i made braces out of tubing and atached them to the crossmember and the core support. i used a pair of bolt holes that where in the core support and welded the ends to the crossmember.
