i was wondering where the bars on a watts link are mounted i always thought they were to the same spot on the frame on both sides but now that i look at kitts one side is in the center of the frame and the other is dropped down a bit. how much is it dropped down? does it matter where they are and whats the reasoning? anyone know

you mount it so at ride height the bars are parallel with the rear end. you take that, then you figure out where to mount it.

so just as long as the bars are parrallel then ok i see. so the bars are level when the center piece is at a perfect 90 straight up and down?

it really depends how the kit was done to be honest. But just as long as the bars are parallel to the axle then you are fine (at ride height that is). so just set your axle at ride height and then go about putting it together and you'll get it right.

the center piece should NOT be straight up and down. If i remember right, it should be about 30 degrees when your link bars are parrallel to each other. Witch is also your ride hight.

agreed, the bars need to be parallel at ride height, and the middle piece should be tilted as well. some say 30

I have pics of one installed on my website on the watts link page.

bars need to be parallel at ride height.
